For Sale GT/CS Project on eBay - May be a BB

Here is John's car at the St George UT MCA national show. It was really beautiful. The 68 HCS J code we are now restoring is Brittney blue as well but with stripes. Marty

    1968 New door seals

Note the correct exterior to interior paint line on the bottom of the door. A detail that many restorers miss. Marty

Beautiful interior, beautiful workmanship. Rob you never cease to amaze me. Some day if I ever do a modified car I am going to use that interior. Is it leather? Marty

For Sale GT/CS Project on eBay - May be a BB

That is my understanding there were only 3. But of the 251 HCS 9 were R codes. I guess they like to go fast in the high country. Marty

    . GT/CS Shirts, Hats, Etc.

You are correct Bob had them made. He gave me the name of the shop in Denver but I could not find it. My son in-law is a graphic artist, I will ask him if he could do a design some thing like the one pictured. It may be a while though as they just had a baby boy last weekend and he is very busy...

    1968 Engine Install mishap

If you think it has gone too far to repair go to a salvage yard and buy the top section. Then section it in to the damaged area of yours. It would not take much more than a hour and a half to repair. Looks like you may need a grill support as well. I have several laying around and would give you...

    1968 Prices of GT/CS

I find it nearly impossible to build a correctly detailed concours car for less than 50K even doing a large part of the work my self. Your best bet is to buy a completed car, but spend the money on a quality inspection. Marty

    Wanted GTCS deck lid

I won't need it this time but I won't forget you have it. I did not ask him where he got it. I will next time I see him. It has original Wimbledon white paint and trunk seal. It must have been a early take off. Marty

    Wanted GTCS deck lid

I got unbelievably lucky today. I went to Omaha today to work on a friends 67 fastback and happened to mention that the deck lid on our HCS was not worth fixing. He said I think I have one out in the shed. Sure enough it was there. A deal was made and I brought it home tonight. It truly is...

Rob it looks like another J code GT with a 3:25 and welded shock towers? Nice car.

    1968 Shock tower cracks

I have seen them on the BB but not on a small block. That one must have been ridden hard. Did Rob have it?

1968 Finally getting my HCS on the road again! - Startup procedure

I would add a QT of Lucas oil treatment and drive it. It may come out of it. I had a 81 Mustang that made a blue cloud when we first started it after two QTs of the Lucas no smoke. A rebuild is still the best cure.
