    Sequential Brake Lights and Chrome

I think the question 2 is if the "bumper guards" on the rear are supposed to be painted body color (on the sides/chrome and black rubber on the front) or are they supposed to be all chrome. I wondered this too. Mine are painted body colored and I have seen this on other 68's. Casey

    No Brake Lights

Don, you were right. I checked the contact plate at the top and it was not connecting (could see sparks occassionally when I tried to push the horn). Was able to do a little needlenose straightening of contact to the plate and all is well. Don, thanks again! Casey

Could the "VIN TAG" have been switched?

Yes, my 66 is from NJ and has the VIN info on top of the drivers fender as you mention. The 68 CS is from San Jose. Sorry I am missing this, but what do you mean that the VIN is "located under the drivers side fender"....do you mean that the fender has to be removed to see the VIN? Casey

    No Brake Lights

Thanks for everyone's input. Got time to look at it this weekend and found the culprit....broken wire on the black plastic connecter going onto switch on brake pedal. Paul had it right on when he said, "The brake light switch--on the brake pedal can have REAL problems! Look closely at that...

    HCS in Mustang Monthly

Just noted Tom Elledge's HCS in the Reader's Album (last page) of Mustang Monthly. Beautiful Red! (Nice looking garage too!). Casey

GT/CS Sanctioned Club? -MCA Judging Rules

Paul's history and effort for the GT/CS, along with others in this forum, is truly amazing, and it was not my intent to question that.... My thinking was beyond MCA or judging rules - and was probably more in the vein of marketing the GT/CS breed at the same level of its peers (who do seem to...

GT/CS Sanctioned Club? -MCA Judging Rules

BTW - When saying GT/CS, I mean to be inclusive of HCS as well. Casey

GT/CS Sanctioned Club? -MCA Judging Rules

Was reading the latest Mustang Times from MCA and Bill Johnson, the president, in his editorial is talking about reaching out to partner with other clubs in the mustang hobby such as the Bullitt Club, SVTOA, Shelby USA. This may be a question for Paul, Bob or Jon - But would we be more...

    No Brake Lights

Great advice, and thanks for the compliments. I will check the brake switch, but I also wondered if anyone knew how to check the headlight switch since the brake lights and horn circuit breaker are supposed to be integrated into this switch per the manual? I do have tailights, blinkers...

    GT Gas Cap?

I meant to add this is NOT a GT optioned car. Casey

    GT Gas Cap?

From what I have learned on this site and from Paul's book the pop off gas cap should not be GT, but the pony. The GT/CS car I just got has a GT pop off gas cap which I should assume is incorrect, and change out? Just checking to make sure I am correct before ordering the part. Casey

    No Brake Lights

Got the new car in, but can't seem to figure out why the brake lights and horn are not working. The headlights, dash lights, blinkers and tailights all work. From Paul's 1st book it looks like the tailight harness should work the same for brake lights and tailights/blinkers, so my guess is...

    It Arrived!

The GT/CS arrived today from CA and it looks great! We had our first day of snow in Chicago (after yesterday being sunny and 50 degrees), so it saw its first and last snow. It has been great learning from everyone on this site, and I look forward to learning more now that the car is in the...

GT/CS - Soup to nuts restoration?

I saw this earlier, and sent a note to the ebay security administrators as this just looks suspicious that someone took the entire listing and hijacked it. How could a buy it now be $165?
