    1968 Hood Stripe

It has been a lot of years since we did this car so I can not remember what it was when we got it. I think most likely the grill was stripe color. At least in this case I think it looks ok either way. If I can find a definite answer I will let you know. Marty

    1968 Hood Stripe

Here are the pictures of dad's car. Thought you might like the color. His strip was 3 7/8 off the center, 13 inches wide and 6 3/8 from the outer edge. Hope this helps. Marty

    1968 Hood Stripe

Neil actual only the back recessed back area of the bezel is painted black. There is a pretty good picture in the 68 Mustang Sales brochure. I'll try to get a picture of dad's 68 S code with the hood strips. Marty

1968 GT center cap red paint touch-up

First congrats on getting her home! Several layers of masking tape on a small pry bar will prevent any damage. I buy some Testers red model paint and a small brush. Brush in the red let set 5 minuets then use a rag or paper towel dampened with paint thinner to clean up the chrome edges. Another...

    . Local Cruise

Those are great times to be a dad. All of the things in life come and go but memories like that last for ever! I built Mustangs with both of our sons, cost us a lot of money but hands down it the best thing I have ever done with my boys.

    1968 Rear Valance

Only J code 302 4V, S code 390 4V and X code 2V got duel exhaust. May of us have added the duel exhaust to our C code 289 2Vs. These engines were as Steve said eligible for the GT option. Unless you are building a show car build it as you like. Marty

    Battery Tray Size

Most of the small blocks came with a F22 battery which fit the tray. There are no reproduction F22 batteries although you may be able to find non Ford battery that will fit. The F24 battery was considered the heavy duty battery and was a option that cost about $9 more. It is a bit ironic that...
