    1968 marchal fog lights

If the same as used on Shelby's, originals did not have 656. http://www.thecoralsnake.com/FogLight

    1968 X-code GTCS - Value?

Well, the point was missed. IMO it ain't worth 9k as it sits. The orignal post asked for advice, not what you wanted to hear. As for an A vs X, post one of each in similar condition and I guarantee you will get far more calls on the A code. An X is an oddity for someone who wants "wierd" (in...

    1968 X-code GTCS - Value?

15k in primer? Seems a bit high. Unless everyting else is done to a pretty good standard and all it needs it paint. And if you go that far then paint is a minor expense, as most of the work to paint is in the prep. I'd say, while "rare" it would bring not much more than a comparable A code...

    . Photo Your Winter Fun

Not for the GT/CS but the current project... So the shop got backed up and we covered the EXP500 shell for the last few months. But it should be primered and have Red Oxide on it by the end of Feb. Then the fun begins, body/fiberglsss fit. So as all the rest is kinda on hold started...

    Wanted 68 Fog Light Breaker

It will work fine and looks similar. I'll probably end up going that way as I doubt an OEM is going to be easy to find....

    1968 dash pad reproduction

You can buy pretty much any color and vinyl dye it. Light to dark is easiest, but you can go the other way too... I'd just look for a nice condition one and take it. NPD sells the dye I used to go blue to black and it looks pretty much idenitical to the OEM black in my convertible. I'm sure...

    Wanted 68 Fog Light Breaker

Buy from NPD all the time. Even with air freight cheaper than buying locally here. Don't want the repro, hoping to luck out as stupid me cracked mine trying to get the old wires off the one I had. One nut apparently fused to the stud... snap....

    Wanted 68 Fog Light Breaker

Looking for an OEM fog light fuse/breaker that mounts to the "Z plate" under the fuse box. I am not in Cal, Australia, but the form insists on a location in the US.

Power steering set-up for headers or hipo

Lock washer and nut, 20 years on my big block and never a problem. If you are a worrier, a nyloc nut is easier thatn a weld if you want to worry about a problem that doesn't exist! (otherwise you'd need to weld all bolted items???) On the 390 hoses, if you do be prepared for poor fit...

    1968 Production changes

Well.... they all "bolt on" (actually a stud w/nut, but lets not get too technical!) Early are 2 piece bezel and reflector in a recess, and late are surface mount, so "bolt on" really doesn't say which you have!

    1968 dash pad reproduction

Find a good used one and clean and re-dye. I traded a new crap-ola Dashes Direct (fits Ok, but the texture, look and feel are way off, a nice option for those that just want someting that fits) for a OEM and spent a day cleaning and dying... and could not be happier.... looks new.

    1968 Production changes

For Marchal to Lucas, Pete Disher's Shelby page notes an estimated date of April 5 for Shelby's, would expect similar for Cal Specials. http://www.thecoralsnake.com/FogLight

    1968 Green Hornet

From the Site, looks like reserve was 1.8mil... did not see the auction but maybe that was high bid. Lot Number: 5022 Auction: SCOTTSDALE 2013 Status: RESERVE NOT MET Sale Type: RESERVE Price: $1,800,000.00

    J-code snorkle

April 29 build date, has vacuum motor. Believe it is original. Never know when folks use 4/5 date format if its April 5 or May 4... But mine is a C code, would expect a similar changeover date for a similar part, but maybe not.

    For Sale 1968 GT/CS C code

At 38k its not the "Poor man's" Shelby. Some Shelby-ization with the rims, steering wheel and shifter, minor mods. Looks like a well kept car, but way overpriced. IMO about double what it should be!

    . Waterless Coolant

The results noted and testimonails are (as far as I see) all based on diesels. Due to the difference of operation I am unsure if this savings due to higher temps would translate to a gasoline powered vehicle. Interesting theory. Even if no fuel savings, the savings in coolant and the lesser...

    1968 Green Hornet

"over hyped"? :undecided It's a one-of-a-kind documented prototype that was supposed to be crushed like Little Red(restoration quality paint daub detail quibbling aside, who knows what Shelby actually did, and how many times they tweaked it, it is the car based on VIN). One of maybe a...
