    1968 curious- stock or modified

Modifed, it has 14" Magnum 500's and fat 205's to keep the power of that C code on the road... Value of modified vs. original? IMHO, modifed is worse in the long run. A 6 year old crate engine is just that... original is still FoMoCo... my bet is in the long run as close to...

    1968 X code

Not sure how showing got into the converstion of what the X GT/CS is worth. For a full resto, it will most likely never be worth what is invested (especially if some of the S/X specific parts are missing, costs are astronomical for some due to the low numbers and demand for S parts driving...

    1968 X code

The X code, while a big block, is an "underappreciated" version as a 2V. An example of where "rare" does not translate to big $. Less than 800 made, less than 10% of S code production, but don't bring anywhere near the same coin. As noted, "restored" means many things, from respray over...

1968 Help with tire size !!

"How do I lower the front? and what are we going to do with the leafs??" On the leafs you can get them reset, or just buy new ones. On the front, new springs to lower.. or just drop in an FE!

1968 Help with tire size !!

+1 on 215's, max. BFG TA's are a good look, I just ordered a set for mine... in 205/70/R14's.

1968 Ok, time for new tires, what style... vote here

Not interested in bigger or fatter, I see no need for anything over a 205 on a c code... and no sense replacing the 14" Magnum's as they look good to me... IMO on the 68 and earlier I find a 225 about the widest tire that looks good.. even that's a bit much, and while I'd go 15's if I needed...

1968 Ok, time for new tires, what style... vote here

I don't think a C code qualifies as "Muscle".... That was the car at pick-up, put a set of Magnum 500's I had on it as the chrome on those rims is kinda iffy... This is the current look...

    1968 Dash pad options?

Drake gets good press, but unfortunately the pattern is not correct for the 68's, I gather the OEM tooling was lost. The one I used, I forget which manufacturer, maybe Dashes Direct?, is a real rubbery/gummy--bear type thing which I'm not real happy with. I can accept the stitching looking...

    . a matter of conscience

Yep, no chicks, or dudes, or anything but "workers"... wait can't use that as it has proletarian and communist implications; no "bosses" either, capitalist and aristocratic echoes... Can't use "Sir" (implies military or seniorty, and status based on gender), Ma'am is out (obviously as a...

    1968 HCS build dates

The GT/CS book notes all HCS were built in June and July, per Kevin Marti's database. The 15xxxx number and March date is far in advance of all others noted in the book, which notes HCS production starting June 8th...???

    1968 Carroll Shelby autograph

Dash, no... a postcard, maybe... not into the "hero worship" (nothing against CS and respect all he has done, far more than many, and don't understand why so many love to tear him down) but saying "he saw my car for 28 seconds, shook my hand and signed it...look!" does absolutely zero for me...
