1968 Paint Code dilemma for 68

Many colors, like Acapulco Blue, can look different depending on the brand and whether it's petroleum based or water based. I'm pretty sure the car in the photo is Acapulco Blue, or at least a version of it. When the car in the photo was painted the owner may have played with the paint...

    Wanted Wanted Gulfstream Aqua GT/CS

Someone contacted me who is looking for a Gulfstream Aqua or maybe a Tahoe Turquoise GT/CS. I don't know who much he wants to spend, but will try to find out.

1968 Diamond Blue GT/CS Going to France

Yep, that's the same car. I recently discovered Facebook Marketplace and made a search, finding five cars. The highland green one, this blue one, two red cars, and a Lime Gold one in NC.

1968 Diamond Blue GT/CS Going to France

Here's an interesting car that is going to France. The owner was asking $18,500 for it. I don't know what it sold for.

    1968 Turn Signal Switch

If you want it I’ll send you NPD’s owner’s email address. Rick and I had quite a discussion a few years back about Drake’s lack of quality control.

For Sale Highland Green 4-speed For Sale

I think the engine is a late ‘70s or ‘80s 302. That would explain why it’s lacking in power.

For Sale Highland Green 4-speed For Sale

Here's the deal. The seller will go down to $30,000 but that's still more than I want to spend. I'm not saying the car isn't worth that amount but I'd need to put at least $5,000 into it to make it how I want. it's a great car with a few things that need to be fixed and I'd love to own it so...

1968 Front Drum to Disc Conversion

Have any of you installed this kit from Opentracker? The price of $789 seems quite reasonable for what's in the kit, it even includes the master cylinder, booster, and pedal. Plus it fits on the drum spindles...

    . Mustangs Unlimited

Summit Racing also carries a lot of Mustang parts, as does Amazon. Most of Amazon’s Mustang specific parts seem to come from Mac’s and are more expensive than NPD. My first searches are always NAPA and Summit, then NPD if the first two don’t have what I need.

    . Mustangs Unlimited

I may have phrased that poorly. I don’t think NPD is trying to drive the others out of business but I think many other main players will inevitably go under just because they can’t compete with NPD’s prices and delivery.

    . Mustangs Unlimited

I'm pretty sure Mustangs Unlimited is going out of business. I called about a number of backordered items and the sales guy lied to me, saying the manufacturers are no longer making the items. NPD has the items, but after NPD drives all the others out of business prices will surely rise.

    1968 Road Warrior 2

Rob, I think you're right about the need for a backing block. There is just too much flex in the steering system. The joint has been soaking for a few days so now it's time to go to the hardware store for a double jack head, unless I can find something heavier.

    1968 Road Warrior 2

I decided to fix the ATF leaks in the car so yesterday I replaced the rear transmission seal, and today is the power steering, and I'm already stuck. Is it easiest to remove the entire steering rack, including tie rods, or just remove the leaking parts? Shown is the rack from one of my previous...
