    1968 Dash components

Rob PM me your address and I'll get it on it's way to you. You are right about using the standard panels , it would be a lot of work for less than perfect results. If he is paying for the labor it might cost more than the new panels.

    1968 Dash components

[ I have a 68 Coupe that has standard interior with A/C. He purchased deluxe door panels, bottom grills, (yippee, that will be fun to drill and file fit 6 plastic inserts on each door) and all the goods to put them on. Rob Rob I have pattern for the door bottom grill and light. If that...

    1968 mating engine and trans

Lower the engine close to the floor. Put the transmission on a dolly and roll them together. You can raise or lower the lift to help a line. Good luck I am ready to do the same for the GT350, got it down on it's wheels today.

The guys in my local hardware store know I am a car guy so they asked me to identify the car on this can. One of them thought it was a Mustang (not) I did not know. Can you help us out? Marty

1968 Rubber hood bumper "jam" nut

I am reasonably sure that it was not a 7/16 nut. Ever one that I have ever seen are 1/2 which is the standard size for a 5/16 - 18 bolt. The only place on the car that I know of a 7/16 nut on a 5/16 bolt are the carb studs. I will have to have a look at that book Richard.

1968 Help a sister out please, car fire

You are correct about the crazy cost of originals. Donna was your dash pad green? If so this is one of the hardest colors to find. Other colors can be dyed but I would not use a red to dye green. Any future damage would be very visible. I have a original that is a bit hard and not perfect that I...

1968 I've lost motivation and selling one of my cars

Many parts have made the trip to my home so when I only have a few minuets I can work on them. There are a lot of polishing and cleaning projects on a restoration. You may what to consider how long it takes to find a good project before you part with the J code. Just my two cents. Marty

    1968 Vent Window Frames

OEM is always your best bet for almost any part. There is no OEM carpet available but I sure wish there was you can hold up the repo and see light through it.
