    Needing help restoring 68gt/cs

I just ordered a can of that PS pump Teal paint from NPD as well. I wasn't 100% sure about it but now I'm glad I did. The current color on the car seems to be darker than Teal. So I wasn't sure it was correct for 68. I'll let you know how it turns out and will post pics too. At the rate I'm...

Same here Casey, that's the first time it happened to me. Wonder if it's something new they're doing. Wow - talk about low mileage Red GTvert. What are your plans? Going to drive it or trailer it? Looks like a fun car to drive!

    GT/CS and HCS Media Sightings

I was hoping this was someone from the site and we had another Northeast CS represented. Wildwood is about 4-5 hours from me but it seemed people travelled pretty far for that show.

Great looking Saleen!!! Best of luck!! Is that less than 3,000 miles on the odometer? That's great Casey! Did they send you a letter recommending the increase or did you initiate it? I got a recommendation letter from them this year.

Would you enjoy your GT/CS more with a manual or auto tranny?

Good Question ... at least for me right now. My original is a 3 speed and my new one is an automatic. I haven't driven the new one much because I'm doing some work on it and it's partially apart. Had the 3 speed out for a drive today and I'm going to miss the shifting I think. I enjoy...

Mine is through Encompass as well. I think bottom line is, for the "classic" insurance the car is not intended for use as a daily commuter. Like you said, that's why the price is so low. They don't expect it to be on the road as often as a daily driver. They're OK with driving it to work a...

    engine block codes

As far as I know, a large number of the 289 blocks are stamped "302". It should be stamped in the "valley" of the block. Is that where you saw it? I can't think of what the area is called right now. I believe they were interchangeable.

Here is a pic of my vin stamp... not sure if it helps This is from my 289. I have to say the stamping on my 302 is much straighter than this in comparison. Have to wonder if this was after a liquid lunch or the 302 was done on a slow day.

I've heard a number of people here and other places say that Hagerty has limits on mileage but they don't. I wonder if it depends on the state they're insuring someone in. I verified this with them when I added my other 2 Mustangs to my policy a few months ago. No mileage restrictions and...
