Are we sure that this is the stripe it refers to? I thought it was the pin stripe option. I have seen two options listed in 1968 Two-tone hood paint $19 Accent paint stripe $14 Rich

These may have been posted before but I don't recall seeing them Pizza Hut's First Commercial 1965 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdK9j-J4au4 Mustang Juniors 1965-67 powered promotionals (including the CS) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPnsBeRRLn8

I believe the paint stripe was an option for a "pin stripe" type stripe. It's in addition to regular GT/CS stripe See these 2 threads http://www.californiaspecial.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4054&page=2&highlight=paint+stripe http://www.californiaspecial.com/for...4&d=1163829769

Wow I've never seen that one and I don't recall the mountain road one either.

Thanks for the info. NY is similar. I spoke with the seller on it. R

Mileage probably isn't it 41,000 I found this entry on the online registry entry... http://californiaspecial.com/registry/view.php?vin=8R01C151496 Just don't know what date this was entered. This would mean the odometer might be reading 41,000 but it's really 141,000. Does anyone know if...

Thanks Bob! That's great info!! Rich

I checked both registries and this car isn't in it.

If it's me I'm already planning on it!!!

I have a message into the seller with a few questions. Looking at the grill? Does it look original? I don't see the brackets for the Marchals. The rear deck lid looks a little out of line and possibly replacement. Which would explain the argent colored rear panel as a possible replacement...

Thanks Guys! I appreciate the thoughts. I agree that you get what you get and be careful about. I would definitely look things over with a fine tooth comb and try to identify the things I would go after right away. Then it's a matter of comparing that against the alternatives. I'm not...

I don't think this has been posted yet ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280108534793&rd=1,1 I look at this car and the asking price and can't help but ask myself ... Do I spend the time/money to restore my CS or...

I guess you never know. Was "Quality Job 1" back then too ?? There's a blue CS on eBay now with the passenger side script wrong. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280108534793&rd=1,1

Interesting thread. Like someone said ... Ford's US site www.fordvehicles.com won't let you order the CS in Grabber Orange. But the Canada site www.ford.ca does let you. Apparently if you get the dealer to check it out you can order it in that color. The interior seems to be limited to...

On a related note. Took my 68 CS to a show this past weekend and met someone at the show that has an 07 CS on order. Should be getting it shortly. The salesman told him they were only making 5,000 and there would be no 2008's. Is either true? I didn't want to say anything because I...

Unrelated question ... where did you get the Royal Maroon CS Model? I thought they didn't make the Maroon version

Same here!!

Hey John, Punched or drilled ... isn't there still the remote possibility they were mounted wrong sometimes? Rich
