    Shop Progress

Glad you shared that. Unfortunately, in this day and age it seems that we need to assume everyone we speak to at any agency, utility, or company, got his or her job solely by being a moronic inbred second cousin of someone in upper management. With that cynical thought in mind always...

1968 Does anyone have any suggestions for front end alignment specs for a big block?

Here's what I have for small blocks. Don't know if BB are different. I found this in an old magazine and will see if I can find it again. Remember, these settings are for bias ply tires, not radials. Caster-3/4 to +1 1/4 (optimal +1/4). Vary only 1/2 degree between wheels Camber +1/4 to...

1968 Top safety modifications for classic Mustangs?

Darn it, I hoped you had some secret way of attaching the bracket. I found out the hard way that the '68 and '69 seat backs are completely different and there is no easy way to attach a '69 headrest bracket onto a '68 seat. I'm now doing the same thing you did.

Jon, How did you attach the headrest brackets on the '68 seats?

1968 windshield washer floor trigger pedal

You can say, "Clean Window" then press hard on the lever. It helps to point out the dirty window to the passengers so they are looking at it instead of your feet.

    1968 HCS or GT/CS

My total WAG is that since our cars were built in batches the 'special' work was probably done near the end of the line and those handful of workers may have been told to pay close attention to the build sheets to see if the car was a HCS or GT/CS.

For Sale 1968 GT/CS in St Louis MO

I'll buy as many as cars like this for $5,000 as you want to sell me. Heck, I'll even double it and buy all you can provide for $10,000 each. I think this car is definitely worth looking at, especially since it's a High Country Special.

Replacement grill for my 68 GTCS

The grill is a standard '67 unit, (yes, '67 and not '68) but you'll need to remove the vertical brackets and cut the grill for the foglight brackets. It's easy and I can send you a drawing of the grill that shows where to cut. The posts for the Lucas lights can be purchased from...

    1968 Hood to cowl seal

If there are not slots cut in the rubber you need to cut them in. Make the slots TINY, just large enough to insert the pins. Put the pins in the rubber then snap the whole thing into the holes.
