We've discussed this in the past and I think we finally decided that there was no connection between the seats and the stripes. For example, Jason's maroon car with white stripes has black seats. Someone please correct me if I am not remembering the posts correctly.

Sorry, I misunderstood the issue. I thought the previous owner filled the holes in the body, not in the scoop. Either way, glad I could help.

Here's a shot of a yellow one. Don't know whose it is but it looks about right. The best way to it might be to drill the holes where they line up when you have the scoop where you want it. Drilling the holes first might be a little risky.

Their prices for overhead consoles are great, especially if they have been reconditioned. $250 with the bracket included.

I'm pretty sure there was no woodgrain option and the console should be black. The issue I have with a black console top is that there is no black anywhere else in the car, except the window rubber and the door speaker/light grilles. I'm going to give the woodgrain a shot and see how it looks...

I assume it's for show only because it looks like it's impossible to get into and out of.

I've been reading the '68 Mustang dealer brochure and all the pictures of the lower consoles show the black finish. There is no mention of a woodgrain lower console treatment. Under Interior Decor Group it says: Courtesy door lights Smart grille design in the lower door interior trim...

I have a brake swing arm assembly, arm, and pedal but I don't know if it's for power brakes or not. Here is a picture of it. If you want it it's yours.

That's an interesting point, Paul. That frame would be great for the show circuit but maybe not for so good for daily driving. On the other hand, I wonder if people would be surprised there were that many of the cars made. Do you think that when people see our cars they think there were only...
