    concorse knowledge needed, anyone?

That's kind of how I read it too, Hook, but I was hoping that is not what the writer meant.

    Crash And Burn

Chuck, if your bodyshop doesn't know where to get the fiberglass parts they might want to try either Rebel Mustang or Tony Branda. From what I've read on this board it seems that these two vendors have the best quality. Personally, from what I've heard about Rebel I'd go with them, even with...

    concorse knowledge needed, anyone?

The "freak GT/CS" sentence was a written a little ambiguously and I can certainly understand how Hook, and others, may have misinterpreted it. FYI, we had a person post on this site a month or so back who was a little on the rude side. Many remember him and may be a little sensitive to...

    Headers

Sorry, I guess the engine size would be an important fact to have. It's a 289 2V but it is not original to the car and it seems to have a little more punch than your average "C" motor. Steve, are the HiPo manifolds readily available and/or reasonably priced?

    Headers

One of the future projects on my car will be changing the single exhaust over to dual exhaust with an "H" or "X" pipe. I had planned on using the stock manifolds but now wonder if headers are not a better option. Does anyone have any pros or cons concerning headers? I guess my biggest...

    In case you were wondering?

If you do decide that the seat backs are too high it shouldn't be all that difficult to pull back the leather, cut down the seat, and reattach the leather. That would still be less work than turning your original bare rear seat springs into a correct, but uncomfotable, back seat. Don't let...

    VIN number on 390 engine

It sort of depends on where you want your power. My V6 will dust most 289s and 302s but it's pretty much a dog until it reaches 3000rpm. Most small engines are like that. If you want low end grunt nothing beats cubic inches.

Delta Bay Mustang sells a pair of brackets for around $69.

    9 inch rear

Are the rearend codes and engine codes listed in the registry? If they are both listed you might be able to use it to see how the J-codes tie to the 9" rear.

    Console fixing

Most automotive paint stores also sell vinyl prep. It removes all the oil-based dirt and grime and softens the plastic a little so the dye absorbs better. It is basically a mild form of wax and grease remover and works well. As good as it is for removing oil-based products it doesn't do a...

    Trunk Switch

Does anyone have any ideas as to the purpose of this switch? Could it be for the trunk light that the car doesn't seem to have?

    Headliner Installation Tricks

Bill and I installed the headliner in my car this weekend and I thought that those of you who are thinking about doing the same could benefit from the binder clip trick we read about. A good way to hold the headliner in place while you are pulling it tight is with binder clips. Works great...
