    Need some guidance please

Paul, I have to correct you. I own a Mini Cooper, I bought it new in November 07. 1.6 liter, 172 hp. 2,660 lb car. The new Mini Cooper has a bunch of room. I'm 6' and I have to move the seat forward and up to drive comfortably. Bob, Keep your eyes open, one will pop up. As Paul said...

    Need some guidance please

Slim pickings West of California too. lol If you don't know every part that should be in the boxes, I would be careful about going that route. If you can take photos, take it apart yourself and tag it, you will have a much easier time getting it back together. It's tuff when you know...

    Missing VIN's????

Here is a photo of where to look under your fender for the VIN. In Texas we also have a state required annual inspection on all vehicles (2 years first time for brand new cars) to make sure emissions are correct, tires, brakes, lights etc. I think it's a good thing, it keeps the real junkers...

I'm going to add my favorite tool to this list. A small pair of locking position adjustable pliers. These are Knipex Cobra model 87 01 180. Once you have them, you can't live without them. Heres a pair on e-bay...

    Hood Pin C-Clip Retainer Question

I found replacement clips at the local Ace hardware. If you take the pin with you, they should be able to set you up with a new pair.

    Amps for set of Marchals?

Cool, Their relay is 20 amps and it has a 16 gauge wire feed to the item being powered. Should I keep the switch wires at 16 gauge also?

    Amps for set of Marchals?

With the ohms set at 200 I get a reading of 26.7 through the lamp and 0.3 when the two ends are held together. I'm guessing I'll wire them parallel. With one relay I would have to wire them in parallel, wouldn't I?

    Amps for set of Marchals?

Apologize up front if I missed it, but I did a search and couldn't find it. Does anyone know how many amps a set of Marchals pulls? I'm in the process of installing my painless wiring harness and they recommended I use the in system aux relay for the fog lights. I wanted to know how many amps...

    seat belt inversed?

If you think they are backwards, switch them. They should lay flat and not have a twist when buckled up. These cars are 40 years old, no telling what someone has done over the years. It's really easy to remove the bolt and turn them around. Could be some other guy thought the same thing as...

Almost Done - But Need to Stop Her

Casey, I bought the MPB conversion for my car and it was very user friendly to install. It came with the power booster and EVERYTHING I needed to do the job. The only thing I had to buy extra was fluid and a couple of washers. I also spent a couple extra bucks and bought some grade 8 hardware...
