    1968 Power Steering Hoses

Thanks Mike, thats a real help. I'm assuming the hoses are a different part number as the metal tubing looks quite different from the ones I have. Will try and track some down.

    1968 Power Steering Hoses

Hoping someone can help as I'm sure this problem has been encountered before; I have installed long tube headers on the 302 - no problem as I have the drop down bracket for the power steering ram. The issue has been with the control valve. I have connected it to the steering arm, however it...

    1968 Tail light panel sealer?

Don't take this as gospel but that doesn't look original to me from the factory applied sealant evidence I have seen on mine and other cars. If it was to be effective as a sealant you would expect to find sealant all the way around the panel and around all openings. Secondly, if that panel was...

    1968 Tail light panel sealer?

I'm assuming you are referring to the 6 square plates that screw over the tail-light panel. If so, yes you should seal them with dum dum prior to installing the screws. Once the final fibreglass tail light assembly is on, you won't see the sealant. Gary

1968 Metal flange that goes from hood lock pin to grille

Try Delta Bay Mustang - he is making the hood pin brackets that it connects to. The last time I talked to them, they were considering making those connecting brackets to the grille.

    1968 Detailing

I have the 1964 1/2 - 1973 Mustang Detailing Guide (K.A. Helms 1995). It shows coils springs for 1968 mustangs having yellow and orange bands, but every car I have seen has red and yellow bands, including mine. Could be an error in the book, just in case anyone else is using this guide.

    1968 Detailing

I painted the leaf springs and drive shaft with "cast iron" paint - it looks quite good. The reason I did the drive shaft was because of the "burn" marks from when it was balanced. I have the paint marks from the drive shaft, unfortunately it is not the original, I believe it came off a 1970...

This is a beautiful car having seen it a Cruise weekend in Saskatoon a few years back. I also have to thank Adrien...

What I find incredibly interesting is that the hood has a "Ambris" stamp - which is apparently the name of the paint inspector. I have the same on one of my front fender extension / headlight buckets. Exact same color stamp too. Jon (administrator) , I think you were cataloguing this info so...
