I did this also recently. I used Rust-Oleum "Bright Coat" and it's fine. But it looks like the Revell paint that Arlie used is more shiny.

For the VIN tag on the passenger's side dash, does the dash pad just slip under the VIN tag or was there a cut out on original dash pads where the VIN tag sits? I'm installing a new dash pad and my original was in such bad shape that it doesn't help me with this question.

Are those raised white letters on both sides? Typically they are only one one side, so you can ask the tire shop to mount them blackwalls out.

Did you have your original radio converted or did you buy an aftermarket replica?
