    Car Cover

Mine are also stored inside and covered. I found an "evolution" recently on craigslist. 3 months old, paid $100. Poor guy was cleaning out his garage to come up with the insurance deductible for the delivery of his baby. I asked him if I paid $100, would I also have naming rights. :) I...

    . Auto transport companies? Suggestions?

Jon, How do the advertisments work at the top of the thread. Looks like there are 3 transport companies listed. Since you are asking for a recommendation, I assume they are not "prefered vendors." Hope at least these are tied to some advertising revenue back to you.

1968 Help needed - One Wire Alternator Installation

If anyone is interested - turned out to be a pretty straight forward swap. Only wires that come off are the original alternator wiring harness (from the alternator to the starter relay) and then unplug the connector to the external Alternator regulator. You can then remove the external...

. Target date for book release?

If there was an option, I would ask for a refund at this point.

    Looking for a GT/CS

Why did you sell and were you able to get a decent price in this market? Good luck with the GTCS.

    Looking for a GT/CS

Welcome to the site! Been thinking of selling, but really not made much effort. You can see my car at the URL below. It is a High Country Special (only 251 of these...but essentially the same as a Cal Special). J code 302 but running a stroked 351W. Have the 302, comes with the car. I am...

1968 Help needed - One Wire Alternator Installation

Tom, have previously read the first link. Not enough info for a novice like myself. Good read on the 3G from the Cougar forum. After the experiences I have had trying to save money, I decided for $150 to just buy a new one that I know will bolt right in. Thanks again for the info. david

1968 My new old red HCS

Welcome to the site. Just last month I gave Bob my copy of the Mustang Monthly with your new car. Tell him to pass it on:smile: david

1968 Help needed - One Wire Alternator Installation

Been a lot of electric threads lately, thought I would start another. I am in need of some feedback. A couple years ago, I pulled my 302 out and put in a stroked 351W. The engine takes up a bit more volume in the engine bay than the 302 and has been built for performance. I have always had...

    1968 Seeking advice on price...

I agree, $7K, but who really knows in this market. I have also found, through first hand experience, you will spend a lot more than you think you will on refurbishment costs. I am becoming a believer in buying cars that someone else has sunk a bunch of money into. Now is a great time to buy...

. Steve Saleen wins 2009 Iacocca Award.

I have a friend that knows him pretty well. Says he is a good guy. He sold his company and it subsequently went bankrupt. They ended up selling off the assets. New owner has no legal liability to support existing warranties, and they won't. My understanding is that Steve said since my name...

. Racing and Dyno Results from July 18, 2009 in Fontana

I wish I was able to spend money as fast as you (no wife at home I am guessing). Good luck on your next pass, hope it happens. My drag strip is a 40 mile drive. I spend the entire trip with my eyes glued to the temp gauge. I know exactly how you feel. I just installed an electric fan from a...

. Paul M. Newitt has a new article in the Shelby American magazine.

Not sure how these things work - wondering who owns the rights to Paul's recent article. If it is Paul, it would be a nice gesture by him, given the financial support and data he has collected from the members of this site, to post it on this site. I must say, though, that I have lost interest...

Not ideal, but one way is to pull the starter and check the casting numbers: C8OE-6015-A

    1968 Bad Vibes

Neil, Did you change out your torque converter? I still think the flex plate is a good possibility.

    . Who says you can't break a ford 9" ?

Hopefully you would have broken down doing your burnout and saved the track. I have always thought of drag racing as pretty safe (at least compared to autocross and track racing). But, I run a lot slower than you. I am not an Auburn fan. Mine broke down in less than a year of racing. Really...

1968 Chrome Wheel Well Moldings - Add or Not?

Don't forget your roof rails. I have heard they can be very difficult, especially if you car has been repainted without them. Thickness of the paint makes it difficult to install.
