1968 All new book updates posted on saac ?

You don't need to join to access the SAAC forum and postings. I have not seen very much negativity toward the GT/CS, which is great, but there does not seem to be very much activity, other than Paul's posts.

    1968 Dealer tag

What a collection! Unfortunately none from my car's original dealer. Wonder if Bob is cleaning out his garage?

    1968 68 CS/GT Convertible for sale!-??

$10,000 in 1982 is approx $22,000 in 2009. The GT500KR has done well over time! http://www.dollartimes.com/calculators/inflation.htm The owner of Colorado Mustangs in Denver built a GT/CS convertible clone and I believe a fastback clone. david

Ran the Ford Gt at a local 1/4 strip....result....

Star Trek Prop collecting must be going awfully well! Very nice stable of cars. I think we are all envious! Don't go with too much horsepower, you never know what could happen - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIbpiihHQ-g david

    1968 68 HCS red stripes

Bob, I just had a bunch of 68 HCS decals made up for my personal use. Played around with lots of different color combinations. Today's computers and technology are pretty impressive. I have the pair I bought from you when I first got my HCS. Good luck matching the colors. The vendor I used...

    2005 Registry Update Thread

I personally have a real problem with the fact that probably 99% of the prefunding (and ultmate purchasers) for this book has come from members of this site and Paul is providing updates to the SAAC forum, but not here. I always get a kick out of seeing this thread when I come to the site. 2005...

    1968 Grass Valley Car Show

Great pictures, sounds like you all had a fun time. My father has his house for sale and wants to move back to the Roseville area. Who knows, maybe I will have an opportunity to visit next year. david

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

Thanks Casey, from a HCS owner. I did not know the HCS's were shipped without the GT/CS decals and had the HCS decal installed at the dealer. This makes sense, though, as I remember Bob Teets telling me that when he went to have a batch of HCS decals made a while back, he found the original...

    68 GT/CS in Mecum Auction

I have been watching their auctions on TV lately and these guys seem even more annoying than Craig Jackson and his crew. Is it just me? What is Mecum's reputation like? Maybe it is because I see them always bullying the seller into removing the reserve and don't see that at the no reserve...

    1968 Front Bumper choice

I have heard lots of bad things about the Asian products (cheap, thin, bad chrome, don't fit, etc). I am sure some are better than others. Let us know what you think when it arrives. I also need new bumpers. One of the benefits of having your existing ones re-chromed is that you know they...

1968 Help needed in Arizona: E bay seller has my $$$

I am not a serious Ebay user, but I have been told that you have much greater protection if you make your payments via paypal and that your paypal account should be linked to your credit card, not your bank account. Again, I am not very experienced here, but understand that paypal works like an...

1968 Who has Green Hornet Questions??

Who knows what the real story is, but I read that while in Ford's Employee and Auction Resale lot in Dearborn, the Independent Rear had been stolen and replaced with a standard Fairlane axle, and that the FI unit was missing and had been replaced with a police interceptor intake and 4 barrel...

1968 Who has Green Hornet Questions??

Paul, are you doing a section on Li'l Red. Wasn't it that car, not the Green Hornet, that got Lee Grey talking to Lee Iacocca about a Calif Special? Don't get me wrong, the Green Hornet was/is a very cool car and I love reading about it, but I would think that Li'l Red would be more relevant...

1968 Has anyone seen this car?

I'd want to see the Marti report, but $13K for a J code GT (w/ 9" diff) 4spd seems like a pretty good deal. And $13K is the asking price. It could sell for less.

    1968 Turned the Corner!

Wow, that thing is going to scream. Rob, how do you paint the valve covers? Lots of tape? Can't wait to see pictures of the engine in the car and your impressions of how it runs. david
