I didn't think those gas caps were leak-proof when they were new. I don't ever fill my tank to the top for that reason.

I got mine from Bob a couple of years ago. I didn't know he had gotten out of selling them.

I saw that and wondered the same thing. People do sometimes make the assumption that the vin = order of build.

I have the Elite Marti report for my car which includes a copy of the window sticker. There is no mention of a build number. I also have the original bill of sale which has no build number. Not sure if that is what you mean by "original purchase contract".

But none of that will tell you a build number, as he has quoted in his ad.

Other than the vin, I don't see any indication of a vehicle sequence number on my Marti. How does this person know what number his build was?

I had an early 68 Coupe that had both, but my understanding is that the GT/CS did not receive them. Maybe the earliest ones produced had them though.
