    Grabber Orange CS anyone?

Grabber....Black? Well the Grabber Orange '08 CS just wasn't in the cards. But, I did end up getting a pre-owned Black '07 CS coupe with most of the goodies. Here's a couple of pics. Will take better ones with the '68 and '07 together after the rain lets up. -Jeff

    Black California Plates

Did California provide both front and back black plates? Yes. That is one thing I DO remember ;-)

    Black California Plates

So, it sounds like if you provide period correct plates, ones that aren't still registered to another car, that'll work? I'm wondering about the reproductions from http://www.licenseplates.tv and if those would be accepted by the DMV. I guess as this process starts up, we'll find out.

    Grabber Orange CS anyone?

Hey all, One of the Ford dealers near me has a beautiful '08 grabber orange GT/CS coupe on the lot. I may take a more serious look tomorrow. Wondering if anyone here on this site has a GO GT/CS? -Jeff

How many GT/CS's did you look at before finding the right one?

About a year... Started the search in early 2003 after a co-worker showed me the 1988 GT/CS Recognition Guide and Registry he had in his office. He and his wife (Rick and Sharon Kimble) both had GT/CS's that were in the original registry. I was intrigued. Also, my dad had a Lime Gold CS from...

    GT/CS at Barrett-Jackson

Neil, Seems like there was a thread a year or so ago that discussed the radiator seal. I think Mike Jewell has one on his 390. Mike, did somethingspecial come with the seal? Oops, never mind. Found the thread-...

    GT/CS at Barrett-Jackson

Neil, I think Jeff is being ficicious. The radiator seals were "stapled" (and were also used on other engine sizes). -Jeff

Original California Special "blueprints" on ebay

Casey, I would get clarification of exactly what you are bidding on. Based on these old AO Smith title blocks on these drawings, they do look legit. Find out if the guy has the original vellum pencil drawings. If so, he may have a blue line machine. Some of you might remember (who were in...

'08 CS wish list - just for fun.

I remember reading somewhere that Grabber Orange was available in '07 on the Canadian model CS?

    1968 High Country Special $$$???

And what if....the build date had been in the right range? Rich/all, I'd noticed that, too...the Denver DSO. So, what if the build date HAD been within the correct range for this HCS? Without the Marti report, the prospective buyer would never really know if it was a real HCS or not. -Jeff

    1968 High Country Special $$$???

Joe, Bummer that the HCS turned out to be a clone. Like you said, owner number two went more than a bit of effort to make it look like an HCS. And perhaps sold it to the next guy without fully disclosing what he was selling. For a bunch of us here, knowing the build date you mentioned was an...

Mustang Times - GT/CS Now and Then Article

So, since the '68 Shelby's were all Mustangs ordered with Deluxe interior, did they NOT have woodgrain lower console?

Mustang Times - GT/CS Now and Then Article

Ron, Thanks for the clarification! I was beginning to wonder if I had the wrong lower console. I have the deluxe interior with both upper (woodgrain) and lower (non-woodgrain) consoles and had never seen the woodgrain on the lower console. -Jeff

What is your GT/CS' worst servicing headache?

This is not really a servicing thing, but... Most every time I put fuel into the CS, some amount of gas will spill out while filling. I assume that it's just the nature of the design on the CS's fill tube and mating up properly with fuel pump handle design vs. modern cars that have a better...

    External Transmission Cooler

Tangent alert ;-) Hey Casey, How does the higher stall converter "behave" vs. the stock one? Oh, and also (back on subject) where did you locate the transmission cooler? -Jeff

    Little Shakin Goin On !!

Oh yeah!!! Where I'm at, about 40 miles east of the quake epicenter near Milpitas, there was pretty good shaking and rolling. In case anyone is wondering...nothing fell on the CS!! ;-)
