If you can think of it, you can do it! : Travis Pastrana
Aside from that, I remember seeing a article in 'Mustangs and Fast Fords' a few years back, where a guy took the entire drivetrain and suspension off a 04 termi-cobra and swapped it into his 67 fastback. To which I remember him saying 'it was just a matter of custom fabricating certain parts to fit'. I know that with sn-95 cars you have to buy a conversion kit from 'Fatman' products, to make the brake set up work (spindles, brakets etc) with the s-197 I don't know if such a system has been made, but then again, Mustangs have a huge aftermarket
But with brakes, the biggest thing you have to concern yourself with is wheel offset, which I know early Mustangs (stock rims) don't have much room to mess with (you can use wheel spacers but, really unless you're running a larger wheel offset/rim size you will have to tackle this issue)The beauty off 67-68+ Mustangs apart from 64-66, is they can accommodate larger wheel packages, so you have options! Bolt patterns for the 05 are the same (hell i think from 94 on up if not mistaken are the same I have seen people running termi-cobra rims on 67-70 with no conversions, the early "fox body" stangs only had four bolt wheels minus the cobra's correct me if I'm wrong) from the early cars, but I fear the spindle and hardware wont be an easy bolt up deal, I have never done this, so it's pure speculation
