Wanted 1968 GT/CS or HCS

Okay, I've always wanted a 68 GT/CS , just been a car cool as far as I'm concerned. I'm not looking for a trailer queen, in fact something to restore over time would be fine with me! I probably in the $8-14,000. Maybe less or more, just depends on the car. Highland green would be my first choice, but that being said I would consider any color choice. It doesn't have to the original color (if its HG

I need to warn you that Highland Green is a difficult color to find. That said, there is one for sale in Canada for around $35K if you want to get into that range.

I'm doing a color change, inside & out: Highland Green (basecoat/clearcoat) with Nugget Gold Deluxe interior. The original Gulfstream Aqua paint was a 2nd rate repaint done some time ago. It'll be really nice: PS, PB, AT, AC upgrade, 22gallon gas tank.

For a little more history on the car - this was Cameron's car that I purchased a few years ago so he could buy Jason's S-code. I fixed it up a bit then sold it to Neil, then when I posted an ad here looking for a restored car Neil suggested the color change to Highland Green. That sealed the deal so I'm buying the car back in a few months.

If you want a BIG project I have a gold nugget (in and out) CS. It's an AC car with a 302 and C-4. The engine has been rebuilt but it needs a LOT of rust repair in the rear espec around the gas tank (it's falling out!) and some behind the rear side windows. The fiberglass CSGT parts are missing....as well as the under hood AC stuff and a few other misc parts. I have a bunch of California paperwork for it but no title yet. I could post pics if you are interested.....asking $3,500. Grant

OK, I decoded it a bit.....color Y is sunlit gold paint and 2Y is nugget gold interior. C is 289 so it's not a 302 car.

PS The reason the hood and fender were replaced is because they were rusty. Amazingly the floor boards are actually not to bad.....

Hey Doug, I looked in my paperwork from the PO and yes, the vin is 8RO1C143062. Only 20 off, I wonder if it was built in a block of CS's?

PS. On a side note I have the Marchal? driving lights in the grille. The housings need re-chromed and the grille is toast but the lenses are OK

PSS. I'd sell the car for less if I kept the engine
