Craiglist Car
http://bend.craigslist.org/cto/1629718138.html

I have the VIN, it is 8R01C15849

Looking in the registry. There is no Marti report on the car that the owner knows of. I wanted everyone to know I am looking at this car this weekend, I'd like first shot at it. I'd be glad to share my findings. I didn't disassemble the green machine yet, but parts are stacking up in the garage!
The car is a Red on Red 4 speed 289. If anyone knows of any history on this car, please let me know. Purchased in Bend three years ago.

Thanks Everyone
Tim

I know-

I can't believe I missed this one in my backyard- sheesh! It's heck to get old. Then I get all silly and throw the old "I saw it first thing" geez.
Sorry about that- if anyone has contacted the owner first- have at it! I have learned one lesson in life- if it's meant to be, it will happen....

Tim, I don't know if it's the same car or not, but 3-4 years ago I looked at a red 289, 4 speed car up here in Spokane. I couldn't reach a deal with the owner and he sold it to someone in Oregon. It had some serious rust in the trunk floor, the 4 speed needed rebuilt, it had the wrong grill with no fog lights and needed a repaint. It seems like there were some other issues as well but I can't remember what they were now. My offer of $7K didn't buy it, and he was asking about $9K if I recall (both would be high in todays market). The thing I do remember is that he had a magazine with an article about a red CS, 289, 4 speed and he swore up and down it was the same car, although there was no proof and the owners name was different. I know this isn't much help, but thought I'd throw it out just in case.

Steve

PS, if you decide to pass, pm me and let me know what he wants for it and a description. I need another project like a hole in the head but I'm a sucker for CS's.

THings are progressing...

Ok, pulled the car out, this thing went to the perfect guy, he has completely stripped the car down, marked, and sorted all the parts, and fixed the sheet metal. He also has a couple of cool project cars on the side (Mopar and Chev). I'll run the VIN for the Marti. This looks like it might be good!
