Would be nice to read the engine Vin stamp, this might be a case of them just putting a 302 sticker on a 289 engine.

Window sticker and Marti Report show as a 289?
Careful wording of text says "powerfull 302 V-8" under the hood.

1968 was a funny year. After the Sept-Oct strike, most all of the 289 engines were assembled using 302 engine blocks. They still had 289 crank shafts, so the displacement was still 289 cubic inches. Some 1968 Ford and Mercury cars received F code 302-2V engines, some car lines did not. Mustang technically did not have a 302-2V engine available in 1968. Kevin Marti's book Mustangs by the Numbers shows that 2 - F code 1968 Mustangs were built.

Picture 53 looks to me like a 2 Barrel Carb. So car appears to have a sticker misapplied.
