OK - so I got the car back from the body shop, started preparing brake lines for install, refurbed my distribution block and proportioning valve, blah, blah, blah and found out that there were a lot of extra holes!!!! 18 to be exact!!! It was just at the body shop and I could have had the pros do it! Anyway, I had to take this on my own, bought a welder and all the other stuff and practiced for 3 days then decided to do it. Not as good as a pro, but for my first time - not too bad I guess. At least it won't be super breezy ;)

The tough part was not over grinding some of the areas. I ended up having to do a "grinders" patch on the funny angle as it got too thin for my comfort. But at least it is done and will have it all painted by end of today and can finally get the brake and fuel lines put in, then get to the new front end suspension and rebuilding the rear-end!

Someone tell me it's all down hill from here.

Doug - thanks! The funny thing is just after I started, I ran out of gas (used it all practicing) and had to use flux core for 95% of the work. It was a big deal for me to accomplish this.

You can come by my house and weld anytime!!! Once you bolt on the first new part and start assembly vice disassembly..... It is all down hill! You will fall off a couple times but the further you get the more the momentum builds!!!

Of course as we all know, money can be a bit of a stopper along the way!!

Rob - Sweet, I'll come make the mess at your house next time :D - All, joking aside, I am looking forward to the down hill side...I have about 75% of everything I will need. The other 25% I haven't figured out I will need it yet :-/ and hopefully the funds will last!
