The seller of this 67 HCS claims to have really bad eyesight and does`nt know if he has the numbers correct in his listing. I`ve looked at his prior listings where he has sold many other cars and parts and he has never mentioned having a problem getting the right numbers. Make sure this car is a true HCS before bidding guys.

This HCS IS the real deal and I've contacted seller about the missing number in the original listing and this has been corrected at the end of the listing. I just noticed the reserve has been met at 4000 or so, so it will be sold soon. High Country Bob here.

Its great to have you around High Country Bob, I`m sure alot of people would be questioning the authenticity of that car because of his innaccuracies. You provide a great service to potential buyers if they are wise enough to consult you first. I would`nt buy one without your expert advice. Keep up the good work!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! and last week that buyer of the so-called '67 HCS conv. apparently did not do his(or her) homework from this site and now us in the hobby may someday have to deal with this, I believe, fake car. I guess I should have called the seller's bluff and exposed this on the "ask seller a question" part of the ebay listing. I certainly will next time a situation like this surfaces. I really realize now I should have openly stepped up to the plate on this listing, particularly since I talked to the seller before this car was listed and he knew what he had and did not have. Sorry, buyer. High Country Bob here.

Bob,

Why would the placement of the HCS emblems be different between this Ebay car, and the Aspen Gold one in another thread? Was this left to the dealer to decide where to put them? The Aspen Gold looks better IMO.

Mike, I'm sure the dealers were NOT on their own to decide where the '66 and '67 badges were to be placed or they would have been on rear quarters, on dashes, etc. I think surely the dealers would have had SOME directives for the placement of the badges that the installers (Colorado, Nebr, Wyo, South Dakota) could refer to and I think for the most part, DID place them in a fairly close area but some were NOT right on the money, as you've noticed, Mike. In my travels, I've found this situation only on the '67 cars so far, never yet on the '66 cars. But on the '66 CARS, it is VERY, VERY, VERY COMMON for them to have LEFT SIDE badges on both sides, THUS THE HORSE IS RUNNING FORWARD ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND RUNNING TOWARD THE REAR OF THE CAR ON THE PASS. SIDE, great, huh? Good question, Mike What else? P.S. I think this badge topic has come up before on this site but I sure couldn't find it tonight. High Country Bob here.
