1968 Anyone know this car?

I took this pic at the Knotts Berry Farm gathering in 2008. I didn't jot down the VIN. Does anyone know this car and or who owns it? I would like to make sure it is in the Registry. I believe it lives in the SoCal area. Thanks.

Without a Law Enforcement reason, I can't run the car by the tag. (I am retired anyways) I don't know if DMV would supply me with the owner info for confidential reasons. Used to be easy, but because of "Stalker" laws, they quit doing it some years ago.
