Here is an article from the August 1996 Mustang Monthly.

No matter what the article says, the color is Presidential Blue. Nice color. Almost as nice as Highland Green!!!

Donna, it seems that sometimes in life we just gotta settle for something less until something better comes along. If I'd ever get the aqua one finished I could start working my way up the GT/CS ladder to the Highland Green pinnacle. Check out my gallery, I had a Highland Green GT/CS many years ago. Well, it was sort of Highland Green....I messed with the recipe a little.

I agree , you blue/green crew are getting way to carried away on this site. Kaleidoscope eyes and all that stuff.

Remember that slime is green. So is pond scum. Not all that is Green is good. Now Candy Apple Red, that's nice!

"Donna's Dress Green", er, I mean "Slime Green"...er. I mean Lime Gold, or whatever..was the no. one choice in '68.

Candyapple Red was #2.

But of course, Royal Maroon is the most classy, since it was used on the '68 Lincolns and Cougars, too.

:)

here, Donna, are some hankys ---> <> <> <> boo hoo.

There is no crying in Mustanging!

Okay, I'm over it. :musicbooh
I didn't want to rub it in that Lime Gold Metallic was the most popular color for 1968. However, I still have no idea why!!

Back in the late 60`s and early 70`s it seems everything was either green/gold or gold/orange. From my Mother`s couch set to the kitchen curtains and napkin holder etc.... Those were some of the colors of the times.
