Do your back up lights have to work to pass inspection in a national show? If so where would the wiring harness originate under the car (front, rear). Any help would be great. My switch is missing that mounts on the trans.

You must have a manual trans., because on an automatic it's part of the wiring for the neutral/safety switch. The plug for it is probably in the same place though, which is on the firewall near the brake booster/master cyl. Hope this helps, and if you need more info, ask here or message me and I'll try to do what I can.

Thank you I'll take a look. Yes it's a 4 speed manual trans.

The reverse switch on the 4 speed is actually right under the shifter itself. If you have the factory linkage the new switch will bolt right up and hook to the wiring harness that comes off the fire wall (4 wires and a plug). If you have an after markert shifter it will take a little modification to get it to work properly. Ford no longer stocks these switches, your best bet is after market or NOS. I will try to find a pic of mine if I have one. Thanks.
