Hey thank you Rhonda. I got back two days ago. I was gone for two months, and drove my Dad's truck and 32 foot fifth wheel trailer cross country for my stepmom. She decided that she really wanted to try to winter out here in Lake Havasu as they had for the last 14 years. I'll really miss my Dad :'( and want to thank all my friends here for their support.
Dad was a TRUE Ford man and he loved my car. Oh hey....when I took his truck to his cousin's Ford dealership to get it ready for the trip... I got to sit in the new GT...you know...the $180,000 one....oh my gosh!
Dad never threw anything away either so I laughed when I found the receipt (Oct. 1956) for our 1952 8 passenger station wagon he got for $950.00. He traded in a 1948 Buick and got a hundred bucks for it!! I wish I could find the picture of me at about 3 years old and Dad had just washed the wagon but I thought I would help by scrubbing the sides of the car...with a brillo pad.
