Now that I have your attention I wanted to take an opportunity to let members here know http://www.concoursmustang.com/ is purchasing (unfortunately not everything is free) and posting some San Jose assembly line pictures on our site.

You have to be a member to view those sections but membership is like it is here, is free (all you have to do is sign up ;) If you look around the site for them you're not going to find them as a guest/lurker (Library and Assembly Plant discussion areas are hidden from guests) You'll have to join to see them.

As many are aware there are few pictures of the assembly line while our cars were built and even fewer of those not taken at Dearborn. So we jumped at the opportunity to bring these pictures, most never published before, to the web. A few of the first batch will include pictures of the ones shown in Paul Newitt's recent book but we will be able to examine them much closer and discuss what can see.

The photos have to be purchased so we are posting them as we pay for them through donations from the membership. If you find them of interest or of value please consider helping out just a little. We've only received permission (part of the charge) to post them on that one site - the reason we just can't post or offer them here.

The majority of the first batch we have been able to get access to are turning out to be from 68 so they really relate to many of the cars covered on this site. If this pay as we go photo project works out well we will attempt to obtain more from this source and others. :icon_ecst

One thing we did differently in our search of the achieves is that we included Cougars in the search since they were built on the same line right along with our Mustangs. This allows us to see more assembly pictures that otherwise would go ignored and some of those photos have turned out to be very interesting.

Please understand this is not meant to be an advertisement for the site, just wanted to make members here aware of the opportunity since the pictures and content relate so well. Enjoy!!

Happy Holidays to everyone here

Jeff, why is the registration so difficult? Those letters are hard to read, and the lady saying them is even harder to understand. HELP

I just registered. Yes, the letters are hard to read on those types of forms, but in Jeff's defense that's how they pretty much all are. You can thank spammers for making all our lives just that much better.

Right above the letters you can click on "Request another image" to give you a new set of letters. Just keep clicking until one shows up that you can read.

Sorry for any difficulty the system is the one that is provided for security with the program that runs the site. As mentioned just pick another image till one appears clearer to you.

I've never run the audio option to listen to the voices ;)

Got to get on and see these. I want to see that gigantic punching device that put the script holes in the quarter panels after the cars were assembled.............

I am such an ass...

Thanks - thought it was a great opportunity and was pretty excited after getting to see the pictures. Of course always want to see more of them ;)

Took a while to get in touch with the owner of the pictures and work things out.
