I once owned a Fairlane SW with a 390. It turned out NOT to be a family car as I had expected!! (Wish I had it now) But it was kinda fun to have the wife & kids screaming for mercy!

...Like so many old Thunderbirds ;-) We had a '67 with the 390. Funny how that car accelerated alot faster when you weren't smoking the tires!

Shhh!... my dad never knew 'bout that;-)

Are you sure he never knew? He probably did, but chose not to say anything. You are a dad now, Think about it. I know things about what my kids have done but choose to keep it to myself for future ammunition against them. Always nice to embarrass them someday. LOL

...Yes, I'm sure he didn't know. I was 13 at the time. I'm sure he didn't know. He had many opportunities and had plenty of other "black powder", but never fired any T-bird rounds ;-)
