Just spent my first weekend with 8R01C143559, presidential blue, 90% restored by previous owner GT/CS. This is my first Mustang and I'm looking forward to fixing the little things to make it perfect, and learning about this iconic vehicle. I'm sure I'll need guidance from the veteran members on this fine site.

Working on getting my CS registered in the official registry. I have an older version and noticed that it has never been registered.

First items of order;
Level the hood (drivers side corner sticks up about half an inch)
Fix the brake warning light (learning it may be a stuck pressure differential valve)
New tires
Chrome trim rings for the wheels
Install original AM radio that was included with purchase
Remove ugly aftermarket door speakers!

Can't wait to get to work. Will post pics once I can figure out how to upload jpegs on iPad.

Welcome First Mustang

Welcome. I checked my Registry and confirmed your car is a new unknown. Please email me all your info, car info, including the door data plate info and a copy of a Marti Report if you have one. As far as the online Registry here, you will have to update it here as it is only accessible by the site admin and the car owners. You will find this site can be addictive and a wealth of information while owning/restoring your car. Welcome to the family. Mike Jewell Your friendly neighborhood Registrar.

Based on your VIN, Your car appears to be one of the first 200 GT/CSs made. This would be produced as late as 02-20-68 and would have the recessed quarter panel reflectors. Cars produced after 02-15-68 should have bolt on type reflectors. I know there is a date descrepancy, but this date was cited to be supplied by Marti Auto Works.
