I got an e-mail from blueovalnews.com 3 days ago asking to use pictures of my GT/CS from the gallery, page 2 red with white top. I got an e-mail back today stating that they will use the picture to go with an article on Monday " announcing that Ford will revive the California nameplate " !!!!

Awesome I must say!! I hope the fact that they are using an original car in thier announcement means the new car will reflect the old car.

I got an e-mail from blueovalnews.com saying the article was delayed due to new news. They will let me know when the article is posted, I will post the link when they add the article. I am very curious to see what Ford will do with CS.

The article has been posted at www.blueovalnews.com look under the recent news column. It is the article dated today with the running pony, click on it to take you to the article. It states that the next specialty mustang will be a CS, scheduled to come out after the Shelby GT500 !!!!

After seeing how they handeled the new Shelby, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Guess at this point all we can do is hope for the best.

Bill; That's a great shot of your car. 8)

Bill, this is really cool - beautiful car - Congrats. It is good that the picture links back to this site. We will see more viewers now, and this will be a huge boost for the interest in our GT/CS's.

Paul's new book will be perfectly timed with the resurrection of the GT/CS (Paul, if marketed to new and old owners, you may have a higher volume demand for your new book with the addition of new GT/CS owners?). And apparently the new ones won't have the GT or non-GT question! :)

Exciting times for the Mustang, and the GT/CS. Casey

Time to fill up every garage stall we have with GT/CSs before the word gets out and prices rise. And to think we were all making fun of Jason for his Mustang Retirement Ranch. Who would have guessed that he was a visionary?!!! ;D

Let's see, new Shelby and GT/CS to follow - uhm.
Can anybody say 2008 GT/CS - 40th anniversary. Sounds like a pretty good bet to me. Shelby hits the streets as a 07 model why not produce the CS as an 08 model and celebrate it's 40th birthday. Sounds like a plan to me. As long as they don't butcher it like the Shelby - I'll be in line!!!!

I know it is awfully early in the design, but does anyone know how we can "get in line" for these future GT/CS's? Also, it would be cool if they offered them in some of the original color schemes (at a minimum, the "Best Color", Acapulco Blue, and then I'll let you folks argue about the #2 color ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D)

I would have to second the "Acapulco Blue" comment! I did think that the "Atlantic Blue" that came out a few years ago wasn't too far off....

First; Bill, congrats on your car on Blue Oval News! I love the ten spokes. If there was to be a good rep of a CS, it's your beautiful car! As a side note, it proves that you never know who's "lurking" here for information...

I'm trying to think of how they will dilute the Shelby into this new CS. It might be the same nose with a stock hood, higher side stripes, wheels, spoiler, and emblems. I think Ford may market this as a Shelby look-a-like without the big engine, and tweaked suspension.

But unlike '68, they will probably market this all over the country. It would be neat if the Denver district redid a HCS version as a limited edition, too! (send your cards and letters to Ford, and to the Denver dealers!).

I agree--buy up every CS (HCS) you can get your hands on. No more of this: "oh, gee, it's a plain-jane, I'll pass on this one".

I also think that the values of the original GT/CS cars will rise, because of the '07 version. This is because the modification and marketing will be a lot more than the recent Mach 1 redo (I didn't see original Mach prices jump because of it).

This will be interesting to see...I'm saving $$ for mine (Maroon, of course!)

I was considering buying an 08 mustang to go with my 68 GT/CS. It would be really cool to have an 08 GT/CS to go with the 68!!! Let's just hope they do it right.
Bill, your car looks great and congrats on the exposure & pics. ;D

Any ideas on this thought? Maybe Ford is introducing the California Special right after the Shelby GT500 because of the CS connection with Shelby. This is a good chance for us to promote this connection between Shelby and the GT/CS.
