The custom car world lost a great designer when George Barris passed away in his sleep at 2:45 AM Thursday. His son made the announcement on Facebook saying his dad had moved to the big garage in the sky.
George Barris is best known for designing the original Batmobile, Green Hornet car, Beverly Hillbillies truck the Munster's car and coffin dragster and the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT from Knight Rider).
He will be missed by car enthusiasts around the world.
