All,
Our car is getting closer. New Ramjet hood from Mustangs Plus. I advertised our old hood for sale, but my wife and I decided to keep it and store it. Sorry I posted it for sale! Car is a bit modified now!
The air cleaner is right up against this hood. Joe has been a HUGE help! Sold me parts and has given me the benefit of his trial and tribulations. David and Joe are the high performance experts!! Just in starter tune right now. HUGE power. I have Joe’s spacer plate for water/methanol injection. Not hooked up yet, more money to spend! More power as I get it sorted out!

You tube soon. Gotta here the whine!! I need more tire…..

Doug,
It is a 3 inch fiberglass "raised cowl" Ramjet hood from Mustangs Plus. Plus prop rod as you cannot use your old springs, just remove them. Our old hood was a blinker hood and was "blacked out" as many were. I love the look of the hood stipes, so the painter and I tried to sorta mimic the look. The stripes are quite a bit different, but I like it. I went with gloss black instead of the traditional "matte black" or anti glare or whatever it is. I hated taking care of the matte black. It always looked faded and a bit weird to me. Anyway it is all gloss and under clear coat now. Easy to keep pretty. Of note the hood was just a bit narrower overall than the original Ford hood on our car. Even by sucking the fenders in in the back right up to the cowl, the hood to fender gap are the rear of the hood is just a bit wider. Not gross, but I notice it. Maybe it was just this hood or they all run that way? Suppose a good body guy could build up the edge just a bit, but I bet that would be long and tedious job.

Tried to post a link, but their site was grumpy. I will try later

Rob
