GT/CS convertible clone at a local car show

I saw this car at a small local car show in my neighborhood. Typically they have a lot of high dollar cars (McLarens, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Rolls Royces) but they usually have a handful of classics too.

I'm not a huge fan of the color scheme, but they had obviously put a lot of time into paint and bodywork. Maybe "clone" is the wrong word. They didn't do any of the front end GT/CS parts, so maybe it was more about the owner picking and choosing parts he liked from different cars rather than trying to actually make a convertible clone. The owner wasn't there to chat with.

It's ok. I'm a purest, so this certainly doesn't fit for me. But looks nice.

Correct. Arizona does not require front plates. So he has a rear AZ plate, and then a front CA plate for some reason. I believe technically that's legal since we don't require a front plate here, but seems confusing for law enforcement.

Possibly if it's a collector plate in the rear, one can have a different plate on the front. like we have in Washington State, since they only give out one collector plate here.
Hi Bill.
Are you going to travel with the car this year?

I tend to like different. One off. Spin on what should of been but ford did not see it that way.

68 GT/CS mod with tripower 347 , auto

Currently building a 67 Shelby convertible mod, 331, 4sp, factory 8 grand, deluxe interior.

Have owned 6 Orig GT/CS in the past though. Friend owns a real GT/CS (R code) auto car that I would like to own someday. One can dream!

Which R code? The Brittany Blue?
