I thought it was a sister J code 3 speed to my car but the VIN shows it to be a C code. Maybe he's mistaken about the 302?

Well it establishes the baseline anyway. :icon_no:

Debra Winger's red '67 Convert. in the movie "Urban Cowboy" outside Gilley's in Pasadena Texas never looked better!!. Anyone remember?

Still lookin!

Standard advice for any classic - an unrestored mint original still the best and cheapest in the long run

I hang out at Mercedesshop.com, and probably the best cars for sale, are those maintained by list fanatics, not only the best cars there, but the listers know what they have, circumstances may change, forcing a reluctant sale, and the lister wants his baby to go to a good home.

Like right here, probably the finest ones around are right here owned by you guys.....you should see Tim's fleet. He works right nearby me, and I saw his cars at the show, and they are beauties.

I agree, lots of rust but lots of potential too. One thing is positive, its an original GT/CS. This would be a good project car for restoration. If you think its not, just look in the gallery at Paul Stevenson's car (PFSlim). His car was really a basketcase when he began, now it's a show quality beauty. Just takes time and money, but well worth it in the end. Good luck to some lucky bidder.

It's a good candidate for a restoration the underside didn't look that bad compared to some others i've seen, good project if you have the time and money.
