Hello - Does anyone have any information about X-Code VIN cars? Is there a site devoted to X-Code cars? I know mine is not a GT/CS - its a fastback - but since I also have a GT/CS, I thought I would ask on this site.
Thanks.

I haven't found a site for X-codes, but there is a Registry.

Just as a side note....

The X-Code (2bbl. 390) was brought out originally for the '68 Cougar, and ended up in the Mustangs, too. This was partly due to both vehicles being on the same assembly line (such as San Jose), and having similar engine bays, etc...

It was designed as a "lower smog" version of the 390, and all of the X cars had a C-6 Automatics. No other options followed the x-code, although it allowed a '68 to "qualify" for GT status, if ordered that way.

They are fairly rare. A later production-year item.

Jay;
By any chance is your CS registered here on the site?
