Dude,
I replaced the windshield in the 1968 I am working on, and do not know where to glue the mirror on. Can someone provide me some dimensions?

Measure 4 1/8 inches down and centered. If you have tinted glass its almost to the bottom of the tint. I usually measure from outside the window just below the gasket and mark it off with a grease pencil or sharpie.

I measured mine and found the top of the mount was 4.0” from the windshield trim and 3.75” from the rubber seal. From the seal to the center of the mount it was 4.375”, all measurements done on the outside of the windshield. Here is a picture showing the relationship between the mount and the tint.

Hope this helps,
Mike

Ditto to Rob's thanks! I just had to reattach my rear view mirror this weekend and remembered this helpful thread.
