Reading and looking for GT/CS articles on my MM magazines I came across the December 2004 edition where Russ Furnstow's GT/CS was featured and he talked about how he liked the 1968 Mustang hardtop's classic lines and the above quote that was mentioned in trhe magazine. I could not agree more with that statement. Do you guys/gals agree???

Part of "those great lines" is the roofline from the 1956 Lincoln Continental Mk II. The Ford designers used that roof shape for the '65-'68 Mustang coupe to give it a classy look.

More on that Lincoln at: http://www.lincoln-club.org/sketch1.html

BTW--Russ' GT/CS is an excellent example, and he's a long time member of the GT/CS Registry.

... very interesting ... those Ford designers were smart in applying a "proven" design concept for the Mustang's roofline ...

So, with that "classy" Lincoln roofline, combined with the styling of the '68 Shelby, you have a very unique, classy, formal coupe, with the look of performance.

When you think of the GT/CS like that, you truly do have a special Mustang.
