There was 1, not 2 GT/CS's and 1 HCS at Mecum Denver
CORRECTION: I can't edit the title but as noted in the next post, there was only 1 GT/CS and we have a new member!

Actually there were only two. The Blue CS and the Red HCS. The Blue one did not sell on Friday so they ran it through the auction on Saturday.

I purchased the Blue one and am joining the forum to get more info on these rare and mostly unknown Mustangs.

Thanks for the clarification Bruce.

Welcome and congratulations on the purchase!

You'll find a lot of knowledgeable members here on the CS/HCS and Mustangs in general and all willing to share what they know.

This thread may kick things off for you but it might not hurt to start a thread to introduce yourself to the site.

Great cars to own and drive. Best of luck!

I do have a question on the red HCS at the auction.
What I have read so far (from Paul Newitt's book) is no HCS had CS script or Badging on them. This one had both the script and GT/CS on the side scoops. The document on the dash stated they had the original HCS badging and that would come with the car.
However if it is true no HCS came with CS script and badging was this or was thus not a HCS?

We've seen this before, where owners switch out the badging. Are the scripts glued on or did the former owner drill the quarter panels?
If it has a DSO of 51 it's an HCS.

Thanks for the info. I did not look that close to the script and did not have the info on the DSO's when I was at the auction.

I relied on the Mariti report for the one I purchased as conformation is was a genuine CS.
