Excellent post Joe - feel like you read my mind on a lot of it ... :scared:

In any case - here is MY disappointment ...

We have 26 cars entered for the calendar and only 51 people have voted so far? Assuming everyone that entered voted, that doesn't leave many others voting...

Let's put some of this energy into voting for the cars that will be hanging on our walls for 2010...

How about that Angel game last night. Anybody disappointed about that?

I was!!! I guess if it's going to be an off year for the Red Sox in the DS :-( then I would have to say I hope for a Dodgers and Yanks series for the drama of it all and even though the Dodgers have Manny I'd have to hope they beat the Yanks, being a Red Sox fan I hate the Yanks.

I look out my window to a view of Angel Stadium and I just figured out that they play with the little round ball and not the long pointed one.

Joe,
Good to hear from you again! 11.69!!! You are going scary fast!!!. That carb I got from you is amazing. Set the screws a bit right off the bat, and have not touched it! Car got 16 plus MPG on a trip to Portland and back at 80 miles an hour at 2,600 RPM with my 3.7 gears and the AOD. And it starts right up cold with no choke and motors away with very good cold temperature characteristics. It runs amazing!!! I thought without a choke it would be a grumpy, sneezing fool!

Did your car get the idle “surge” that is common with a roots blown moter? Mine does and it is so cool!! Vroom….drop about 300 RPM….. vroom….. drop about 300 RPM vroom……and so on. Diesel train engines with superchargers do the same thing! Tim can imitate the sound perfectly!

Just installed a new aluminum water pump last night. Iron one lost its front seal. Dropping to the .375 "new generation" (say it has improved spray pattern) nozzle tonight. Will drop to about 34 total timing and test run my way back to I hope 38 total. .625 nozzle was definitely quenching the mixture at full boost. Low and mid-range was absolutely awesome, but high RPM flattened out a bit. May have to build a custom curve (laptop program) in the distributor and hook up the boost retard. Hope not, but if I need to I will.

90/10 front shocks, subframe connectors, and more tire is needed!!!

Thanks again for the carb swap and the nozzle plate. I could not be happier how this turned out and your advice has been spot on all the way!! You saved me a lot of pain!!

...Is that the one they hit with a stick, then jump into a little white car and go hit it again? or is it the one they bash with a wooden club?? Oh well.... So much for my athletic aptitude... 'Think I'll go and vote on those calendar GT/CSs now...

Speaking of little white cars. Here's a Shelby version of one that we saw at the air races. I'm told they are fast and sell for around $18K. Any one hear of these before?

'Reminds me of the 70 mph bass boat. With that kind of power, one could drop & drag nets and catch the limit in one pass!

With this golf cart, I suppose you could just tape a 7-iron to the bumper and go like hell at the ball, No?...

;-)

I'm glad the carb is working for you. I don't remember the "surge" you're talking about. My idle was pretty smooth.

Sounds like you're having a blast with your car! Get it to the track and report back.

It's the one they hit with the wooden club. I never got into the game with that other little white ball either. I'd rather play with my cars.

This looks like one I saw in Lake George, NY at the Adirondack Nationals - there was a dealer there in the vendor section - if it's the same kind it said they're street legal.

I am in SoCal at Disneyland with my youngest. Walking around in my californiaspecial.com t-shirt. Sure glad I have an iPhone to keep up with the site. Go Rockies!

Tim, I didn't get the sports gene either. Why would I want to pay money to sit in the sun, pay way too much money for a beverage, wait in line to buy a beverage and again to use the restroom? These events are generally on TV for free still, right?

Shoot, add $4k more and you could have a real Shelby GT, isn't that right Steve?

I love sports, played them all the way through school, had a blast but I've never been to a pro sports game short of one Utah Jazz game that my kid got free tickets too and we had to have binoculars to see the big screen, forget seeing the actual players, kids were having a blast with all the hoopla. I'd rather watch it on my own big screen in the recliner, lately I haven't had time to watch much sports though, takes too much time to keep up on CS.Com here. ;-))))))

I chased and hit a slighty big baseball with aluminum club and cow skin padded glove for almost 15 years. Had some very great success. Fast guy with average arm! to much linguini make rob big and fat. lose speed. move from left field to right field. Catcher next. chose to quit before embarresment set in....

More power move rob in car very fast. To bad car no allowed on field... Just work on cars now....

O my God, another photo shop op for Tim...

What are you talking about? A white wash job? Are you paranoid?

People have just decided to bring some levity to this thread and you see conspiracy. Are you OK? Hopefully you don't own any guns.
