need help with engine photos

Hi I am new and need some help


I have a 68 gtcs and it has a rad overflow bottle near the solonoid near the shock tower

is this an original piece?

I never seen this on another car

I am detailing the engine bay and would like to know if it belongs

I've never seen one as original equipment. What size engine do you have?

68's did not have an overflow bottle. A lot of folks today add them rather than have the coolant leak all over the ground. Most anyone that does any drag racing today add them because of track requirements.

I have a 289 2barrell.

So I guess I will take it off.
