Can anyone tell me what the correct color the power steering reservoir should be. Mine is a dark teal color that is faded and dirty. And the cast metal bracket (silver looking) on the topside of it...any idea how to clean that up to get it near new looking? Would like to paint reservoir correct color and get the bracket looking nicer.

Thanks....

Not sure if it is plant specific but my San Jose 68s all have the teal... clean as best you can, I use Prepsol to cut grime, but making it look "new" is really difficult...

There were two pump manufacturers Ford and Thompson -Ramo Woodbridge Pump.
The Ford pumps were blue. You can tell the difference on the tag the bottom line the second letter is a W for Woodbridge and that pump should be black.
I have good luck cleaning with aluminum mag wheel cleaner and a plastic brush. Be sure to rinse it well.
Good luck Marty
