I realize that it's not a GT/CS or HCS, but there is a 1968 Mustang GT Hardtop on ebay right now that deserves a look. If you look closely at the picture of the window sticker, you will see that it came equipped with rear seat shoulder belts. Anyone ever seen another one before? I for one have not. Nor has my cousin, who I trust as one of the most knowledgable authorities on the 1968 Mustang. It came with rear window defogger too!

I'd like to see a Marti Report documenting the rear shoulder belts? I can believe the rear defroster since my 68 GT Coupe has that listed on the Marti Report and it's on the car and works. As for the rear shoulder belts I have my doubts without seeing something documented. I'd almost bet it's an add on some where along the line and not from the factory. I could be wrong since I know Ford did a lot of strange things with these cars. Until I see it documented, other than by a window sticker, I find it hard to believe. I've seen window stickers forged before.

Just as an FYI, Ford DID offer rear shoulder harness belts as a dealer-installed option. I remember seeing an article from Mustang Monthly (circa 1982?), with a list of Mustang options, and in there, with a photo, were the belts, mounted in the rear. They were bolted somewhere at the top of the rear quarter (interior) panel, at the far right/left of the package tray.

I don't think it was promoted much, since it might have been seen as a "negative" to NOT have them in all Mustangs--at that time (just a guess).

That's actually the factory build sheet, which is even better documentation then a Marti Report. I really wish the pics were larger so we could read them better. Can anyone tell what that pink document is?

It looks like the pink form is some kind of sales invoice or receipt of some kind. It also lists the options and a price. The more I look at that car, the more I wish I was in the market for another one. The options on it are really cool and the combination unusual. Notice it doesn't have disc brakes or power brakes, but it does have power steering, deluxe interior, automatic transmission, rear shoulder belts, defogger, HD battery, etc. Obviously a special order vehicle! The person who buys it will no doubt be pleased.

Pinkish form appears to be a sales invoice showing the name of the original owner (a doctor in the Seattle area), with the price and the amount of the deposit. Nice piece of documentation. Reiterates the options on the car, and I believe it shows the VIN, although hard to read it from the picture.
