Back in march of this year I purchased this seafoam gt/cs from mustang country while buying parts for my 68 coupe. The car was not running and had a broken shock tower but it was so original, everything was there except for the fog lamps.I bought it for 8,500 and took a chance that it wood run.Long story short after the body shop fixed the shock tower and my expert mechanic getting it running and keeping everything as oringinal as possible.I am happy to say it was a great call.I've only drove 20 or so miles but I can already tell it is a solid car.I'm waiting for DMV to finish with the paper work so that I can keep the black plates. This is one of two that I own and one of them unfortunatly has to be sold.I probably have another 3,500 to 4,000 into this one not including the time and everything that goes with these deals.Anyway ,I need money for my other project ,so if your looking for an original car that still needs some work I'll sell you this one for what I have into it.12,500 OBO.

I'm not trying to make money off the deal.I would even take a loss. It's a matter of selling 1 of 3 mustangs that I own.How about 11,000.That's what I need for my other project.

I'm not trying to be a downer here... I am trying to sell a 1967 XR7/GT ("S" code 390) 4 speed manual Cougar right now. It's a nice, rust-free car with good paint and interior, original running gear, 1 of 905 per Marti, etc. It is NOT a project, and I realize that comparing Mustangs to Cougars is "kind of" apples to oranges, but I can't sell it for $15K--no interest in it. And I'm not seeing the Mustangs get bid up even to 1/2 of their value on eBay at the moment. Things just seem kind of bleak in the car market, but on the plus side, projects to tend to sell better than "done" cars, so I do hope you find a buyer. You might consider listing on some of the general Mustang Forums as well. Good luck with your sale!

It is a buyers market for specialty cars right now.
Like the housing market people have been predicting the bubble bursting on collectible cars for the last two years.
The barometer seems to be the Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson show held in January each year. If the resulting prices are good at the close of the auction, then they will likely continue at least until mid-year.

I actually think the upcoming Vegas auction will be a real early barometer. There are some pretty high end cars for this one, and being in Vegas is a real natural draw. The sad part is, many people who have lost half their nest egg may not even be able to see spending the money to go.

In the current market conditions, I would guess that your car is probably worth about what you paid for it, unfortunately.

I agree with this 100%. I was following this car since it was listed on e bay by a member of this forum. The price that you paid for it its probably the market value of the car right now. Good luck with the sale!
