Need some help! I'm trying to loosen up the seat tracks and I'm following an article in mustang monthly - but once I pry down the tabs I don't seem to be able to slide the tracks apart.

This is the link to the article;

http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/mump_0811_how_to_restore_seat_tracks_on_a_vintage_mustang/index.html

I can't find anything that would stop them sliding apart so does this mean that they are beyond repair? It seems to me that the tab just stops the roller bearing from rolling out, because the track comes to a solid stop before the roller gets to the point where it would hit the tab. I can only find one tab to pry down, am I missing something here?

If anyone else has run into this problem, I would be interested in hearing how to solve it. The answer will probably make me look like an idiot!

Thanks,

Gary
