Side Scoops

Hey -

I've just had the car repainted and I'm in the process of putting on all of the new parts.

As for the side scoops - did they come stock with that stainless steel grill in them? Or were they just painted black?

Hopefully you understand what I'm talking about, mine had this grill object covering the black paint, it was held in with rivets, and looked to be cut in the same scoop shape.

If this wasn't stock, was the background flat black / gloss black / etc.

Brad,
It should be something similar to black vinyl, not paint. If you look farther in this forum, hicountrybob sells the screens, black vinyl, rivets, and screws to bring them back to original looking.

I used two inch wide vinyle black electrican tape . I glass beaded the screen and it turned out good. Than popped rivited the screen in. :
