One of my favorite television personalities and a great conservationist has died in a freak accident.

My son loved watching him. You knew it was only a matter of time however as he wasn't one of the phoney's he was really on the edge all of the time.

He was genuine.... he brought a lot of global attention to our world of creatures...we are just one of the species of creatures that happen to inhabit this planet.....no better, no worse……

I really enjoyed watching Steve. His love of animals was apparent and I could tell that he deeply loved his profession and activities associated with it. He was a natural on TV and was a wonderful asset to his homeland of Australia. He will be missed by all who watched him.
