I'm having all kinds of fun putting my car back together.
I'm not sure what size rivets to use to re-install the dash vin.?? Does it matter?
On the door tag, I have the right rivets but don't know how to install them either. It almost looks like I have to hold them in place and tap them with a hammer from the back side??
Can anyone help me out on this??

The dash VIN tag mounting rivets are covered by the dash pad, so it really wouldn't matter what size you use. I believe 1/8 pop rivets were used. as far as the door rivets go, use a push punch the size of inside of the rivet, push the rivet into place, and the rivet will expand on itself making it tight. I hope this helps. Mike

I THINK Marti used to sell the correct rivets. Worth checking.

Worked like a charm.... almost. I ended up starting as you said and then used a dolly in front and tapped from behind to tighten them up.
Thanks
